In Aversa, the Church of San Bartolomeo with a Roman-school façade, polychrome marble altars and an 18th-century majolica floor.

On Via Vittorio Emanuele III, in Aversa, stands the Church of San Bartolomeo, built before the 18th century in devotion to the apostle and long the seat of a confraternity. Closed after the 1980 earthquake, it reopened in 1997 after restoration and consolidation. We like its Roman-school façade, with giant pilasters and a large oval window above the portal. The single-nave interior is marked by pairs of pilasters with Corinthian capitals and a stucco frieze. We recommend admiring the three 18th-century altars in polychrome marble and the Neapolitan-school majolica floor. On the high altar is the statue of the Madonna delle Grazie, which arrived in 1853 thanks to the offerings of the faithful.
