The gateway is almost always Naples: from Capodichino airport, the central station and the port you can quickly reach the Amalfi Coast, the Sorrento Peninsula, the islands of the bay, Pompeii, Caserta and the Cilento. Flights to Naples
Naples International Airport is connected with the main Italian and European cities. Search for your flight to Naples here and compare airline prices.
Transfers from Naples airport
If you travel with luggage or in a group, a private transfer from the airport is the most comfortable way to reach Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi or the port for Capri and Ischia. Enter your destination and book in advance.
Hiring a car in Naples
To explore the Cilento, Irpinia, the Sannio and northern Caserta a car is almost essential. On the Amalfi Coast and in central Naples, however, we recommend public transport and ferries: traffic and parking are a challenge.
Ferries and hydrofoils
For Capri, Ischia, Procida and the Amalfi Coast the quickest route is by sea: ferries and hydrofoils leave Naples, Pozzuoli, Sorrento and Salerno all year round, with more departures in summer. Trains, ferries and local transport
- Trains: high-speed trains link Naples and Salerno with Rome and the North; the Circumvesuviana goes to Herculaneum, Pompeii and Sorrento. See Trains and metro.
