These terms govern the use of Turismo Campano, the guide to tourism in Campania. By using the site you accept them; if you do not accept them, we ask you not to use it. For how we process personal data, please read the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
What we offer
Turismo Campano brings together in one place places to see, municipalities, events, itineraries, experiences, flavours and the listings of businesses (accommodation, restaurants, companies and services) in Campania. Browsing is free of charge. Some services for businesses are paid and are described on the dedicated pages.
Use of the site
You may browse the site freely for personal use. You may not use it in a way that damages it or prevents others from using it, attempt to access restricted areas without authorisation, or systematically copy its content with automated programs (scraping), including to train artificial intelligence systems, without our written permission.
Listings of places, events and businesses
We compile the listings from public sources (official websites of public bodies, museums, municipalities and businesses, open databases such as Wikidata) and from reports by readers and businesses. Being included in the guide is free of charge and does not mean that there is an agreement with us.
Opening hours, prices, dates and services change often: we check them carefully, but always verify at the source before you set off. If you run a business included in the guide, you can claim the listing to correct and complete it, or ask us to change or remove it by writing to us from the Contacts page: we reply as soon as possible.
Claiming and managing a listing
Whoever claims a listing declares that they are the owner of the business or have the power to represent it. We may request verification (for example an email from the business's domain or a company document) and refuse or revoke access in case of doubt. Whoever manages the listing is responsible for the accuracy of the data they enter and warrants that they hold the rights to the texts, logos and photos they upload.
Account and reserved area
Some services require an account. You undertake to provide true and up-to-date data, to keep your password safe and not to share it. We may suspend or close an account used in breach of these terms or of the law, notifying you when possible. You can close your account whenever you wish by writing to us.
Events, itineraries and photos submitted by users
Whoever reports an event, an itinerary, a correction or a photo to us warrants that the information is true and that they have the right to it. We may edit texts to bring them in line with the guide, and decide whether and when to publish them.
With the Diventa autore ("Become an author") programme, whoever submits a photo remains its author and grants us a free and non-exclusive licence to publish it on Turismo Campano and on our channels, adapting its format. The author is always credited in the caption and on the Photo credits page, and may ask us at any time to remove the photo. Whoever submits a photo warrants that they are its author and, if it depicts recognisable people, that they have their consent.
We may remove without notice content that is unlawful, misleading or contrary to these terms. If you see any, please report it to us.
Itineraries and travel times
Itineraries created with our planner are calculated automatically: distances, times and the order of stops are indicative and do not take into account traffic, closures, weather conditions or the condition of trails. Always judge for yourself whether a route is suitable for you and check opening hours and openings before setting off.
Bookings on other sites and affiliate links
Some pages contain forms or links to book flights, ferries, transfers, cars, accommodation or experiences on other sites. In those cases the contract is concluded with the service provider, on its terms: it is the provider that is responsible for the service, the payment and cancellations. Some of these links are affiliate links: if you buy through them we receive a commission, at no additional cost to you. Details are in the legal notice.
Intellectual property
The texts, illustrations, graphics, maps and code of the site belong to their respective owners and are protected by copyright law. Third-party photos are published under the licence indicated on the Photo credits page and remain the property of their authors. You may quote short extracts of our texts, citing the source with a link; any other use requires our written permission.
Liability
We do our best to ensure the site is accurate and always available, but we cannot guarantee it. Turismo Campano is not liable for damage arising from the use of the information on the site or of third-party services, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with a consumer, the court of the place where the consumer resides has jurisdiction; in all other cases the court of Salerno has exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms when the site or the law changes; the date at the top shows when this last happened. Changes do not apply to orders already confirmed.
