The old Benedictine abbey of Aversa, now home to the Department of Architecture.

The San Lorenzo ad Septimum complex was a Benedictine abbey of medieval origin on the edge of Aversa. Its name recalls the seventh milestone of the ancient Roman road. The church and an elegant Renaissance cloister survive. Today the complex houses the Department of Architecture of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
