Campania is easy to explore even without a car: trains, metro lines, buses, ferries and hydrofoils link Naples with Pompeii, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, the islands and the provincial capitals. For inland villages, the Cilento and the hill country of Irpinia and the Sannio, a car is often the most practical choice. Here is everything you need to know, by means of transport.
Timetables and tickets change with the seasons and with strikes: always check the official websites we point you to before you travel. We explain how things work; they have the up-to-date details.
Choose your transport
