Amphitheatre of Capua
L'anfiteatro dell'antica Capua, tra i più grandi del mondo romano, con il Museo dei Gladiatori.
Museum · Santa Maria Capua Vetere (CE)

Museum in the horse-breeding institute of Santa Maria Capua Vetere with 19th-century carriages, harnesses and farrier's tools.
Inside the Horse Breeding Institute of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, a vast facility devoted to breeding and protecting horses, particularly the Salernitano breed, lies the Carriage Museum. Here well-kept carriages once used by the command of the Caserta military garrison are preserved, testimony to an era when the horse was at the heart of travel.Among the pieces we like best are two late 19th-century vehicles: the Victory, a wicker basket carriage based on a model designed for Queen Victoria, and a break, a multi-seat vehicle comparable to a modern bus. The collection is completed by supply wagons, a horse skeleton, harnesses and the tools of a farrier's workshop. We suggest combining the visit with the city's ancient monuments.
