A Neo-Gothic church in the heart of Avellino, run by the Dominican Fathers, with stained glass and a mosaic of the Virgin of the Rosary.

Along Corso Vittorio Emanuele rises a church that surprises at first sight with its soaring lines: the church of the Santissimo Rosario, built in the 1930s to a design by Domenicantonio Mazzei. It was created to carry on the legacy of the old 16th-century church of the Annunziata and is now looked after by the Dominican Fathers who live in the adjoining convent. We love going in and letting ourselves be enveloped by the Neo-Gothic atmosphere of the three naves. We suggest looking up at the central rose window, with the scene of the Annunciation, and at the apse, where the four Evangelists appear. Before leaving, stop in front of the doorway: the mosaic of the Virgin of the Rosary is a little gem worth photographing.
