On Tuesday 24 November Avellino's Teatro Carlo Gesualdo hosts Massimiliano Gallo in Lettera ad Eduardo, a piece in the form of an open letter to Eduardo De Filippo. The Neapolitan actor retraces his artistic and emotional bond with the great playwright through personal memories, theatrical references and thoughts on the actor's craft.

His words are woven together with the music of the NapoliNord Big Band, conducted by Mimmo Napolitano, who also wrote the arrangements, while Carmen Scognamiglio sings songs from the Neapolitan tradition. It is not a ceremonial tribute but a way of asking how much Eduardo still speaks to our present. It starts at 9 pm.

We recommend it to anyone who loves Neapolitan theatre and wants to hear it told by one of its best-loved performers today, on screen and on stage.
