In Casertavecchia, the Gothic Church of the Annunziata, known as Ave Gratia Plena, with a porticoed atrium, rose window and tuff bell tower.

In the medieval village of Casertavecchia stands the Church of the Annunziata, known as Ave Gratia Plena, a Gothic building dating from the late 13th to the 14th century. It was once flanked by a hospital and charitable institutions run by the community. After the fire of 1903 and the collapse of 1934, it was restored between 1950 and 1954.We recommend looking at the gabled façade with its porticoed atrium, the pointed single-light windows and the rose window, together with the four-storey tuff bell tower. The single-nave interior has wooden trusses and a presbytery with a cross vault. We like to seek out the Baroque doorway of 1737 and the fragments of an Annunciation in the niche of the old hospital.
