Until 30 November the Royal Palace of Caserta hosts Archetipi, a major exhibition devoted to Antonio Biasiucci, a photographer born in Dragoni, in Caserta province, and one of Italy's leading artists. Some 300 photographs and installations, arranged around 24 themes, turn the elements of his work into universal archetypes: animals, bread, milk, volcanoes, rituals and faith.
The route starts in the Palatine Chapel, where 27 ex-votos are displayed, and continues through the Great Gallery, with the immersive space Corpo latteo and two monoliths marked with numbers drawn by Mimmo Paladino, dedicated to migrants lost at sea. A section is set up in San Leucio for the colony's 250th anniversary, with looms, gears and women's faces. It is curated by Tiziana Maffei and included in the museum ticket.
We recommend it as one more reason to return to the palace in autumn.
