A Caserta building designed in 1937 and adapted as the Casa del Fascio, an example of 1930s architecture.

Among the 20th-century buildings of Caserta, we point out the Casa del Fascio, or Casa del Littorio. The building was designed in 1937 to house the fascist confederation of agricultural workers and was later altered to become the party's headquarters. We like to read it as a document of 1930s architecture in the city, alongside the more famous Bourbon monuments. We recommend looking at it with a historical eye, as evidence of a period that left important marks on the urban landscape of many Italian cities.
