Small family chapel documented since 1532 in the Tabellara district, the heart of medieval Sarno.

The small church of San Nicola dei Frecentese stands in the Tabellara (or Tavellara) district, one of the oldest parts of Sarno and the hub of the medieval town. It was built by the Frecentese family, who lived next door and held its patronage for centuries. The earliest records of the chapel date back to 1532, and for a long time Mass was celebrated there by clergy from the same family. Today it is opened for worship on feast days: we recommend taking the opportunity to see it, and meanwhile enjoying a stroll through the alleys of this historic corner of the town.
