Church of San Benedetto in Sessa Aurunca

Among the lanes of Sessa Aurunca's historic centre, along the street that bears its name, stands the Church of San Benedetto. It is a conventual church of medieval origin: the national cultural heritage catalogue places it around the first half of the 13th century, a period of great vitality for the Auruncan town.We like including it in a walking itinerary among the town's many churches, in an urban fabric rich in medieval and Renaissance remains.
