Two exhibition spaces in Roccagloriosa with grave goods, gold and inscriptions from the 4th–3rd-century BC Lucanian town.

Roccagloriosa keeps the memory of an important Lucanian settlement of the 4th–3rd century BC, protected by walls more than a kilometre long. The finds from the excavations are displayed in two venues: the Antonella Fiammenghi Archaeological Museum, on Via Borgo Sant'Antonio, and the Sabato Balbi Antiquarium, with material from the settlement and from the monumental tombs of the La Scala necropolis.Among the display cases we are struck by the famous gold of Roccagloriosa, with snake-shaped necklaces and bracelets, along with bronze mirrors, red-figure and black-glaze pottery, terracotta statuettes and sheets with inscriptions in the Oscan language and Greek alphabet. We suggest rounding off the visit with the archaeological site on the plateau.
