An ancient medieval watchtower overlooking Castelcivita, restored and fitted with a panoramic terrace over the Calore valley.
On the hill above the village of Castelcivita rises the Angevin Tower, an ancient medieval watchtower that for centuries kept watch over the valley. Altered over time, it has been restored and is now one of the symbols of the village, along with the famous caves.In 2022 a panoramic terrace was opened at its top: from here the view sweeps over the Calore valley and the Alburni mountains and, on the clearest days, reaches as far as the Amalfi Coast and Capri. We recommend going up around sunset, when the light is at its most beautiful.
