A village with an old seafaring tradition on a headland of the Amalfi Coast, among steep paths, gardens and scattered houses.

The village of Conca dei Marini spreads below the Amalfi coast road, on a headland descending from the rock to the tip of Conca. The name recalls the shape of the place and the trade of its old inhabitants, devoted to fishing. The houses, few and scattered, follow the hills along about three kilometres of coast, climbing up to four hundred metres above sea level. We like the lush vegetation that accompanies the steep paths and the gardens of the old houses. Originally the town was called Cosa or Cossa dei Tirreni. In June 1543 it was sacked by pirates, who stripped the church of San Pancrazio. We recommend exploring it on foot, heading down towards the sea.
