In the hamlet of Vettica Minore, on the heights above Amalfi, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo enjoys a panoramic position over the coast. What strikes us is its bell tower, crowned by a small majolica dome and a decorative clock, typical of the Coast's religious architecture.Inside is a canvas of the Madonna of the Rosary attributed to Marco Pino of Siena, a Mannerist painter active in the Naples area in the 16th century. We recommend coming up here during the hamlet's patron saint festivals, on the second Sunday of July and on 29 September, when the community gathers around its church.
