An ethnographic museum telling the story of rural life in Volturara Irpina from the late 19th century to the 1960s.

Volturara Irpina stretches from the summit of Monte Terminio down to the Piana del Dragone, the basin at about 667 metres that gives this museum its name. The collection, of an ethno-anthropological nature, holds objects and records of rural life, telling of the habits, values and emotions of a southern community. The period documented runs from the 1890s to the 1960s, the era when the rural world changed for ever. We like the way small tools and everyday objects become collective memory: we suggest booking your visit and pairing it with an excursion on the plain and in the Picentini Mountains.
