At the entrance to Andretta we come across the church of the Incoronata, also known locally as the Incoronatella. It is a compact building with a simple façade, a stone doorway and a short flight of steps: nothing monumental, but a place held dear by the popular devotion of the people of Andretta.We like to stop here before entering the historic centre, which stretches along the ridge and has medieval origins. Nearby is the 16th-century Obelisk of the Crosses, another testament to local religious life. We suggest then continuing towards the mother church and the church of the Annunziata, for a walk among the village's sacred places.
