The castle of the Biondi-Morra princes in Morra De Sanctis, home to the Antiquarium with finds from the Samnite necropolis of Piano Cerasulo.

The castle of the Biondi-Morra Princes dominates Morra De Sanctis and has its roots in the early Middle Ages. The fief belonged to the Morra family from the Norman period until 1385, then passed to the Zurlo and the Caracciolo, returning to the Morra from 1618 until the abolition of feudalism in 1806. A long history that links the village's name to that of its lords.Today the castle houses the municipal Antiquarium, which displays grave goods from the Samnite necropolis of Piano Cerasulo and finds from the excavations at Piano di Tivoli. Every year, in summer or autumn, it also hosts a film festival. We suggest visiting to discover the oldest roots of Alta Irpinia.
