Single-nave church overlooking the valley, decorated in the early 19th century by the painter Francesco Uva.

In the district known as Acqua della Madonna, a little away from the historic centre, this church overlooks the valley below. Its double dedication, pairing the Immaculate Conception with St Michael, recalls the devotion to the Archangel widespread in the lands of the old Lombard duchy. The building grew in successive phases, which can be read in its architecture and decoration.The interior is simple, with a single nave, the organ on the entrance wall and wooden stalls along the sides. In 1807–1808 the painter Francesco Uva decorated the walls with saints, angels and floral motifs. We recommend looking up at the large ceiling canvas and the four Doctors of the Church in the ovals.
