Next to Santa Maria Maggiore, a museum of sacred art with Neapolitan silverware, the Exultet and an Angevin bell from 1274.

Opened in 2009, the Museum of Sacred Art of Mirabella Eclano is linked to the parish of Santa Maria Maggiore and occupies five rooms in the former seats of the confraternities, as well as the former chapel of the Madonna del Gonfalone with its 18th-century maiolica floor. We love the glass floor revealing medieval remains, including a 13th-century furnace perhaps used to cast a bell. The route displays 18th-century vestments, confraternity insignia and Neapolitan silverware such as a processional cross of 1682 and the reliquary bust of Saint Priscus, together with missals and choir books. We suggest not missing the Exultet scroll, known as the Quintodecimo Exultet, and the collection of bells, including the oldest, an Angevin bell of 1274.
