Church of the 1512 Friars Minor convent, with a 16th-century Pietà fresco and an 18th-century statue of the Madonna.

The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is one of the most evocative places in Bellosguardo: it dates from 1512 and was founded as the church of the Franciscan Friars Minor convent. Two stone lions welcome you at the entrance, and an internal staircase leads to the sacred hall, divided into two naves. In the central nave we are struck by the 16th-century fresco of the Pietà, sadly worn by time, above which stands an 18th-century statue of the Madonna delle Grazie brought from Naples. We suggest also lingering over the statues of Franciscan saints around the altar and the stained-glass window with the Madonna and Child.
