In the San Nicola hamlet of Dugenta, a small hexagonal church with a wooden door decorated with bronze reliefs.

In the hamlet of San Nicola, in Dugenta, stands this small church that was once a chapel dedicated to San Nicola ad Orcula. We like its unusual shape: the building has a hexagonal plan, a choice that sets it apart from the rural churches in the area and makes it recognisable from the outside. Before going in, we recommend lingering over the portal: the wooden door is enriched with bronze reliefs telling episodes from the Bible. It is a short, quiet stop, perfect to combine with a visit to the Church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo and a walk in the countryside of the valley.
