Medieval Aqueduct of Salerno
L'acquedotto longobardo con gli archi ogivali, chiamato «ponti del diavolo».
Villa · Salerno (SA)

Art Nouveau villa completed in 1916, also known as Villa Lamberti, with a turret and small terrace once overlooking the Gulf of Salerno.
Behind Palazzo Scaramella stands the family's small villa, also known as Villa Lamberti, built some twenty years after the palace and completed in 1916 to a design by the engineer Domenico Lorito. It replaced some warehouses, in what was then an enviable position with an open view over the Gulf of Salerno. We like the curious story of its construction. The trapezoidal two-level plan is dominated by a turret on the north side: it was not included in the filed design and caused a long halt to the works, but it served to connect the living quarters to the panoramic terrace. We recommend admiring its elegant Art Nouveau (Liberty) style from the outside, with friezes, paired pilasters and balconies jutting out on scrolled brackets.
