On Tuesday 1 December at 9 pm the Teatro Verdi in Salerno welcomes one of rock's most important voices: Patti Smith presents Words and Music – Where Francis Walked, an acoustic evening where songs alternate with readings of texts and poems.
Poet, writer and musician, the godmother of punk has built a career in which words and music are never apart, and Salerno's intimate nineteenth-century theatre is the perfect setting to hear her up close. The evening is part of the Musica d'Artista programme.
We advise against leaving it to the last minute: for an artist of this stature seats go quickly. After the show, the Luci d'Artista illuminations on the seafront and in the old town are just steps away.
