Neoclassical villa from 1804 in Benevento's Pacevecchia district, built as a summer residence, with two cedars of Lebanon in front of the façade.

In the Pacevecchia district stands this neoclassical villa in Vanvitellian taste: the date 1804 is carved into the travertine of the portal. It was built as a summer and country residence for a Benevento family who, in the city, lived in a 17th-century palace on Corso Garibaldi. We are struck by the two towering cedars of Lebanon, planted in the late 19th century, which watch over the elegant façade. On the garden side was the family chapel, where in 1853 Pope Pius IX granted permission to celebrate Mass. As it is a private residence, we recommend admiring it from the outside.
