One of the Vesuvian Villas of the Miglio d'Oro in Ercolano, with its circular portico overlooking the garden.
Villa Campolieto was built in the 18th century for the princes of Campolieto, with contributions from Luigi and Carlo Vanvitelli. It is one of the finest villas of the Miglio d'Oro (Golden Mile), the stretch of road between Naples and Torre del Greco where the nobility built their summer residences.The elliptical portico opens onto the garden, and in summer the villa hosts concerts and events.
