A small museum in the Materdomini sanctuary in Caposele, devoted to the life and cult of Saint Gerard Majella.
Inside the Materdomini sanctuary in Caposele, the museum devoted to Saint Gerard Majella welcomes pilgrims who want to know more about the saint, who died here in 1755 in the Redemptorist convent next to the basilica. The route unfolds over two intimate rooms full of meaning.In the first room, paintings tell the key moments of the saint's life; in the second are images and display cases with the ex-votos given by the faithful for graces received. We particularly like the reconstruction of his cell, with the large crucifix, the desk and the little bed. We suggest combining the visit with the basilica.
