In the 14th-century convent of San Domenico, a museum with archaeological finds, Risorgimento memorabilia and dolls in traditional costume.

The museum occupies a large part of the San Domenico complex, founded between 1394 and 1414 on the initiative of Sveva Sanseverino, lady of Piedimonte, and entrusted to the Dominicans until its suppression in 1809. Since the early 20th century it has housed the civic collections named after Raffaele Marrocco, a local historian and the museum's founder. The tour brings together archaeological and epigraphic finds and objects from the Risorgimento and the two World Wars. We particularly like the lovely collection of dolls dressed in the area's traditional costumes, made of woollen cloth. We recommend completing the visit with the nearby church of San Domenico.
