Church · Calitri (AV)

Church opened for worship in 1571, with a Renaissance lunette portal and an 18th-century Baroque wooden altar.
The church of the Annunziata was opened for worship on 11 February 1571. Even from the outside we are struck by its Renaissance portal with a lunette, which elegantly recalls the forms of Romanesque architecture and invites you in.Inside, the star is the Baroque wooden high altar, made with great care in the 18th century. We recommend taking a close look at the sculptures of the Virgin of the Annunciation and the announcing Angel, attributed to the sculptor Pietro Nittoli from Lioni.
