In Foglianise, the 1536 Church of the Santissimo Corpo di Cristo holds 17th-century paintings, some attributed to Luca Giordano.

The Church of the Santissimo Corpo di Cristo was built in 1536 in the south-western part of Foglianise and was the seat of the archconfraternity of the same name. It has a Latin-cross plan in classical Ionic style: the nave is covered by a coffered barrel vault, the choir by a dome on pendentives and the side chapels by lunetted vaults.Inside are 17th-century paintings, two of which are attributed to Luca Giordano. We really like the sacristy, which holds an old library of over two thousand volumes and a collection of 18th-century nativity-scene figures made by master figurine makers. We recommend combining the visit with the village's other churches, perhaps during the Wheat Festival.
