In the historic centre of Cuccaro Vetere stands the Church of Santa Teresa del Bambino Gesù (St Thérèse of the Child Jesus), formerly dedicated to St Leonard. Its reopening for worship is linked to the founding in the village of a devotional work dedicated to the Carmelite saint of Lisieux.From that experience a women's religious congregation bearing the saint's name later arose. We like discovering these intimate places, which tell of the everyday faith of the small villages of Cilento.
