In the small village of San Mauro la Bruca, a green island in the heart of the Cilento Park, the Church of Sant'Eufemia is dedicated to the village's patron. The place already appears in documents in 1279 as part of the bailiwick of Sant'Eufemia, and the church preserves the relics of the saint and of St Maurus.Inside, we suggest lingering over the many devotional statues, including those of St Michael the Archangel, the Madonna del Carmine and St Vincent Ferrer, a painting of St Roch and the folk frescoes telling the life of St Euphemia. A simple place we love for its sincere devotion.
