The Church of Santa Maria Assunta is the parish church of San Nazzaro and the main place of worship of this small municipality. You reach it by climbing Via Salita Chiesa, a street whose very name tells of the bond between the village and its church. We like its simple, solid appearance, typical of the rural churches of the Sannio.Inside, the rectangular plan is divided into a nave and two aisles by square pillars, while the nave ends in a polygonal apse with the high altar. On the right side you will find a small Eucharistic chapel. We recommend a quiet stop during a stroll through the village centre.
