The medieval church with the bell tower from which the 1648 revolt against the Spanish began.

Sant'Andrea de Lavina is recorded from 1084, but has Lombard origins. It takes its name from the Lavina stream, which still flows beneath the street. It was remodelled in Baroque style at the end of the 16th century. The Romanesque bell tower is one of the symbols of the historic centre: from its bells, in 1648, Ippolito da Pastena called the city to revolt against the Spanish. Excavations have brought to light the early medieval church, with frescoes of archangels.
