The 17th-century mother church of Parolise, with a Baroque interior, beside the Clock Tower in the historic centre.

In Parolise's historic centre, on the same square as the Clock Tower, stands the mother church of San Vitaliano. It was built in the 17th century and has a rendered façade with a side plinth and a doorway in local stone. It lies in the oldest part of the village, where the first settlement grew up.Inside we like the Baroque layout, with decoration typical of 17th-century southern Italian sacred art. We suggest visiting it together with the nearby tower, for a short itinerary in the heart of the village. If you are here in August, Saint Roch is celebrated on the 16th, one of the community's most heartfelt occasions.
