A Neo-Romanesque church in Lone, a hamlet of Amalfi, built between 1915 and 1923; the medieval bell tower survives.

In Lone, a hamlet of Amalfi, the Corsaro family built a Romanesque church dedicated to Santa Maria di Montevergine in 1202. By the 19th century it had serious structural problems and in 1890 it was demolished, with only the bell tower saved. The new church, in Neo-Romanesque style, was built between 1915 and 1923 a little further uphill, to a design by Alfonso Ortelli, and dedicated to the Nativity of Mary.
