An 18th-century centrally planned church by Filippo Raguzzini, between the Triggio and Fravola districts.

Between the Triggio district and the Fravola district in Benevento stands the church of San Filippo, built in 1724 to a design by Filippo Raguzzini at the behest of Archbishop Orsini, the future Pope Benedict XIII, and consecrated in 1727. It was entrusted to the Crociferi Fathers, who opened a college with an orphanage there; later an institute for poor and orphaned girls was built next door.We really like its central plan: the arms of a Greek cross branch out from a circle covered by a polygonal dome, now taller than the original after restoration. Inside we find an 18th-century Madonna of the Rosary and a Saint Philip by Nicola Ciletti, while the apse holds a large fresco by Trivisonno. In front of the church, a small garden holds a bronze statue of the Infant of Prague.
