Archaeological site · Benevento (BN)

Park with a cycle and pedestrian path and the remains of Benevento's first settlement, an area of pottery workshops.
Opened in 2010, the park in the Cellarulo area follows a cycle and pedestrian path of about 1,300 metres. The first stretch is marked by a river of stone dividing the path, flanked by stepped blocks held together by wire mesh.Further on you reach the fenced area with the remains of Benevento's first settlement, where studies have identified numerous workshops, mainly for pottery. The path ends in the undulating, scenic Garden of the Dunes. It currently appears to be closed: we recommend checking whether it is open before you go.
