The ancient heart of Pozzuoli, on its promontory above the sea, with an underground archaeological route.

The Rione Terra is the oldest core of Pozzuoli, the acropolis of the Roman colony of Puteoli. It was evacuated in 1970 because of bradyseism and today is partly restored. The underground route runs through Roman streets, shops and warehouses. At the top stands the cathedral, born from the Temple of Augustus, with its ancient columns still visible.
