Reino Castle, Norman in origin and enlarged in the Angevin and Renaissance periods, has over forty rooms.

Reino Castle is an imposing medieval building that arose in the Norman era and was enlarged in the Angevin period and then in the Renaissance. With more than forty rooms, it was one of the most important buildings in the village and still shapes its skyline today. The devastating 1688 earthquake reduced it to ruins and for many years it lay abandoned; later the remains were restored and made safe. We like strolling around its walls, imagining the life of the lords of the fief. We recommend combining the visit with a stop in the village, in the heart of the Tammaro valley.
