Punta Carena Fort

The last fort on the Anacapri trail, near the Punta Carena lighthouse.
Punta Carena Fort marks the southern end of the Forts Trail (Sentiero dei Fortini), on the south-western tip of Capri. It was part of the coastal defences of the early 19th century.Close by stands the Punta Carena lighthouse, one of the most important in the gulf. From the surrounding rocks you can swim and watch the sunset over the sea.
