Orrico Fort

The first of the 19th-century forts on the trail along Anacapri's western coast.
Orrico Fort, also known as Orrigo, lies just south of the Blue Grotto, at the start of the Forts Trail (Sentiero dei Fortini). It was built at the beginning of the 19th century, when the British and the French were fighting over Capri during the Napoleonic Wars.It is a small stone fortification overlooking the sea, with views towards Ischia and the Phlegraean coast.
