The chapel of Santa Maria di Loreto stands on a natural terrace at the foot of Ariano Castle, in a spot we love for its view and its peace. It is an old building: an inventory handed to Bishop Diomede Carafa in 1517 already mentions it, together with a room and a garden.Over the centuries the chapel has been altered several times, adapting to the needs of the faithful and the wear of time. We suggest reaching it on a walk towards the castle and the public gardens: it is a short but pleasant stop that tells of the town's Marian devotion.
