In the centre of Castel San Lorenzo, the sanctuary of Saints Cosmas and Damian was built between 1700 and 1750.Although the patron is St John the Baptist, the two physician saints are celebrated as co-patrons and their feast is among the most heartfelt in the community. The sanctuary holds the statues of the town's protector saints.
