The parish church of Marina di Pisciotta dedicated to the Madonna di Portosalvo, protector of seafarers.

In the coastal hamlet of Marina di Pisciotta, at the mouth of the streams that run down to the sea, stands the parish church of Santa Maria di Portosalvo. The Marian title, widespread along the coasts of southern Italy, invokes the Virgin as protector of fishermen and all who go to sea.We love this deep bond between faith and the life of the fishing village, which still revolves around its little harbour and traditional fishing. We recommend visiting it during a walk along the seafront, perhaps at sunset, before climbing up to Pisciotta's historic centre and its centuries-old olive groves.
