The medieval castle of Torella dei Lombardi, once owned by the Saraceno and Caracciolo, now the town hall and a museum.

Candriano Castle dominates Torella dei Lombardi: built by the Saraceno family on Lombard-era structures, it was enlarged several times. In the 16th century it passed to the Caracciolo, Princes of Torella from 1639 and later Marquises of Candriano, and finally to the Ruspoli; in 1959 the widow of Camillo Ruspoli donated it to the municipality.Today it houses the town hall, the library and the civic museum with finds from the excavations of the fortress, as well as cinema-related material in memory of Roberto Roberti, father of Sergio Leone, who came from the village. We suggest exploring its restored towers and rooms and taking advantage of the summer events devoted to cinema.
