On a spur at 750 metres, the remains of the Lombard castle of Rocca San Felice with its 12th-century keep.

Perched on a spur at about 750 metres, Rocca San Felice Castle was probably built by the Lombards around 850 to defend the Duchy of Benevento from the Byzantines. From 1076 the Normans restored and enlarged it, and around the mid-12th century it appears in the Catalogus Baronum as Castellum Sancti Felicis. Over time it lost its defensive role and became the residence of various noble families.Damaged by the 1456 earthquake and restored in 1603, it ended up housing a forge before being abandoned. Today a village gate, part of the walls and the 12th-century keep remain, about ten metres wide with dry-stone walls two and a half metres thick, along with a cistern. We love the legend that the wife of Henry, son of Frederick II, wanders the ruins on full-moon nights.
