A site near the Calore at Torre Le Nocelle, inhabited from the Early Neolithic to Roman times, protected since 1997.

In the territory of Torre Le Nocelle, near the river Calore and Venticano, the Campo Ceraso archaeological area bears witness to almost continuous human presence from the Early Neolithic to the Roman age. The site was identified in 1996, after unauthorised digging for an industrial plant, and has been protected by decree since 1997.Its most important core is a large open-air Neolithic village, rich in impressed pottery. Then come materials from the Middle Neolithic, the Diana culture, the Eneolithic and the Early Bronze Age, with perhaps a Middle Bronze Age hut. We are struck by the layer of the Avellino eruption, from around the 18th century BC. From the Roman age there remain pottery, a necropolis and a farm villa nearby.
